Bugged Games Dupe
Description:
Possibly the most widely used dupe due to it's relevent simplicity. No packets
or skills were required, just a little common sense. Around June 2002 a few
people noticed that anything they did in a game would not be saved. They could
drop all the items in a game, and leave and still have them. But other
characters couldn't pick them up and take them, because they wouldn't save
either.
Or wouldn't they?
On an account basis, some accounts saved, and some didnt. To dupe, a character
from a non saving account would drop his stuff and quit the game, then a saving
character would pickup the items and leave, saving with them.
Thus you had duped. This dupe ran from early june (possibly before, but the
games were rare then) until the end of july. Only really exploited in the last
couple of weeks when everyone knew what was going on, and people traded bugged
games for items.
